Property ownership is not a route to residency in Indonesia, and any adviser who implies otherwise is worth leaving. What exists is a set of permits — a second-home KITAS, an investor KITAS through a PT PMA, retirement — each with its own qualifying threshold and none of them granted by the purchase itself. This establishes which one a specific plan supports.
